Academy Team
As you progress in your riding skills you may want to start competing at local saddlebred shows. The Academy Team division was developed just for that purpose. In this division, riders new to the discipline may compete in classes that are divided by age and skill categories. By the time you move on and acquire your own horse, you will be well versed in the requirements for junior or adult classes.
There is no need to own a horse to compete in the Academy Team division. Longview Stables has horses that can be leased. If you would like detailed information on horse shows or cost estimates for participating, please contact us.

Saddleseat show attire is very specific, but generally a unisex approach. In Academy Team classes, where the rider is using one of the Longview Stables horses, the below are items and apparel you will need prior to the show date.
